Effects of plant density and leaf harvest intensity on grain yield of a determinate cowpea cultivar on a sandy soil in rural Zimbabwe

Two figures demonstrate that both cowpea grain and leaf yield of leaf harvested plants were improved by increasing plant density. Thinning at any point before 4 weeks after crop emergence can avert yield loss resulting from increased plant density, whilst providing high harvestable vegetable loads
